Georgiana-Vinsun-LukeI am back from Europe and have totally been procrastinating at posting. I had an awesome time and feel rested, but boy did I walk my face off. This painting by Georgina Vinsun pulled me out of my funk and made me want to get back into the groove of things. The bright pops of colour remind me of fireworks . Many of her paintings remind me of sheet lightening and the awesome colours that it creates. Stay tuned for pics of my trip! Happy Monday.

animal-loveI literally just got off the plane from Calgary. I think I’ve had a total of 3 hours of sleep…so I am a bit off today. BUT, while I was at the airport surfing the web, I came across this! I adore these animal illustrations by Sarah Maycock. Her work is so beautiful. She has this really loose, organic style of illustration that I love. Her entire portfolio is amazing, so go take a peek right here! Happy Monday…

moody-mondays-Laurent-KollerHappy Monday! Loving this work by Laurent Koller. I am so into the patterns and bleeding strokes of colour.

It has been a really busy weekend and to be honest I really don’t feel like going into the office today. So today, I am going to daydream about my upcoming trip to Paris and Spain.

Ward Roberts

Okay, I may just love this photography collection by Ward Roberts. His entire portfolio is amazing, but this study really caught my eye. I was drawn to the retro colours, the subtle dreamlike photography and obviously the PATTERNS! It’s great right? Oh and did I mention he shoots on film…take a look at more of his work right here.

Discovery

I came across these lovely scarves designed by Philippe Roucou and a young artist, M. Chérie, both passionate collectors of abandoned images. Each printed with an anonymous Polaroid print, found at random. I love the idea and I am in love with all of the different prints. So colourful and fun. Wouldn’t it be great to frame each one, or if you can’t own one, why not make your own!

Moody Mondays // 9

Over the weekend I went to the Junction Market with a good friend. We stopped in a shop called, “Russet and Empire.” The shop was full of unique items and fun vintage finds. I came across this book called, “Native Trees of Canada.” The book has some beautiful illustrations of leaves by artist Leanne Shapton. I thought this would be the perfect Moody Monday post, since the leaves this autumn are at their peak. Happy Monday and happy fall everyone.
